Key Responsibilities - Administrative Assistant

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • Answers phone calls, provide support to hourly and staff employees.
  • Carries out administrative duties such a filling, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication and supports the team by performing tasks related to the organization.
  • Ensures operation of office equipment by calling for repairs and maintaining equipment inventories.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by check stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies and placing and expediting orders.
  • Maintaining tracking spreadsheets. Formalizing and filing union grievances. Maintaining payroll issues as it relates to Jury duty, Funeral Pay, vacation pay.
  • Completing, submitting, and tracking of payroll shortages.
  • Maintain employee statues which includes department, schedule and shift.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Knowledge- Administrative Assistant

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills: ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent assignments and activities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Organization Skills
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish, maintain, and provide a positive working relationship with those contacted in the course of work.

Education and Experience - Administrative Assistant

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Prior administrative experience perferred
