Key Responsibilities - Case Manager

What You'll Do:

As a Remote Case Manager, you’ll guide patients and healthcare providers through important processes to ensure smooth, timely outcomes. Responsibilities include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls to support patients with healthcare-related administrative needs
  • Reporting adverse events in compliance with required timelines
  • Processing referrals and applications while staying updated on changing procedures and policies
  • Managing patient and provider inquiries with care and accuracy
  • Entering detailed notes into internal systems while on calls
  • Making follow-up calls to confirm patient status or gather missing information
  • Assisting patients from first contact through final resolution, including approval or denial

Education and Experience - Case Manager

What you Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education preferred)
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency—especially with Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with professionalism and discretion

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous case management or administrative experience in the insurance or pharmaceutical industry
  • Familiarity with pharmacy benefit management, especially with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance policies
  • Experience handling prior authorizations and appeals
  • Background in customer service, patient support, or healthcare call centers
