As a Customer Order Intake Coordinator (Tier I), you’ll play a key role in delivering a consistent and positive customer experience by managing order entry and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities - Customer Intake Specialist

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for order entry and management, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of customer orders in SAP.

  • Partner with Sales, Billing, Operations, and other departments to resolve order issues and support long-term customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain and update customer account and product information, including setting up new ship-to accounts.

  • Provide professional and positive communication to customers, entering orders within two hours of receipt and contributing to improved customer satisfaction metrics.

  • Participate in special projects, assist with new hire training, and contribute to process improvements as you grow in the role.

Required Skills and Knowledge- Customer Intake Specialist

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to type at least 45 WPM with 95% accuracy.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to take initiative.

  • Professional and customer-focused mindset with a team-oriented approach.

Education and Experience - Customer Intake Specialist

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service and/or order entry.

  • Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment preferred.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or other ERP/CRM systems is a plus.

  • Background in distribution or the chemical industry is desirable.

  • $21.95/hour
  • Hybrid Schedule available (3 days in office/2 days work from home)
  • Medical, dental, and life insurance
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule 
  • Casual work environment
