Schedule:  2-2-3. 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Applicants must be able to work either shift)

Key Responsibilities - First Tire Check Operator

The First Tire Check Operator is responsible for performing the initial inspection of newly manufactured tires to ensure they meet quality and safety standards before proceeding to final finish or shipping. This role is critical in identifying defects early in the process and maintaining production quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual and manual inspections of tires for defects such as bubbles, blisters, cuts, sidewall damage, improper curing, or tread issues.
  • Verify tire specifications, including size, uniformity, and bead integrity.
  • Tag and document defective tires and follow proper procedures for scrap or rework.
  • Enter inspection results into quality tracking systems accurately.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to address and resolve recurring issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
 

Required Skills and Knowledge- First Tire Check Operator


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a hot manufacturing environment for extended periods for 12hr shifts.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Visual acuity to detect small surface defects.

Education and Experience - First Tire Check Operator

  • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Prior manufacturing machinery or tire plant experience preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects.
    • Basic understanding of tire construction and quality standards.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
