Goodyear is expanding its global Learning & Development team and seeking Instructional Design contractors to support a wide range of initiatives. This is a project-based contract opportunity, ideal for professionals at various stages of their instructional design careers—from emerging talent to seasoned experts.

Key Responsibilities - Remote Instructional Design Contractor

As an Instructional Design Contractor, you will collaborate with Goodyear’s Center for Leadership Development and cross-functional teams to design and develop engaging learning experiences for a global audience. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and developing instructional materials across modalities (eLearning, instructor-led, blended)
  • Building interactive courses using tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Creating job aids, infographics, assessments, and facilitator guides
  • Conducting needs analysis and writing learning objectives aligned with business goals
  • Supporting localization, translation, and usability testing
  • Applying instructional design models (ADDIE, Bloom’s, Kirkpatrick) and adult learning principles
  • Ensuring all deliverables meet brand, compliance, and quality standards

Required Skills and Knowledge- Remote Instructional Design Contractor

  • Demonstrated instructional design experience (entry-level to advanced)
  • Experience working with global audiences and localization workflows
  • Storyboarding and sequencing content
  • Consulting and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Creativity and innovation in learning design
  • Quality assurance and brand alignment
  • Time management and project delivery
  • Governance and compliance awareness

Tools + technologies:

  • Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Camtasia, Audacity, Intrepid, and other multimedia tools

Education and Experience - Remote Instructional Design Contractor

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, or related field, required
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD), a plus but not required
