Temporary Pharmacist Position

We are seeking a Per-Need Basis Pharmacist to support our inpatient and behavioral health pharmacy operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient medication practices through collaboration with nursing staff, providers, and the pharmacy leadership team.

Key Responsibilities - Temporary Pharmacist Position

  • Perform order and product verification with precision and attention to safety.

  • Collaborate with nursing and providers to ensure optimal medication therapy and continuity of care.

  • Utilize Omnicell for dispensing, inventory, and medication management.

  • Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to promote responsible medication use.

  • Partner with the Director of Pharmacy and pharmacy team to meet patient care needs.

  • Provide technical support, including filling, repackaging, and distribution of medications as needed.

Required Skills and Knowledge- Temporary Pharmacist Position

  • North Carolina pharmacist license required. 
  • Inpatient and behavioral health experience required.

  • Proficient in HCS and Omnicell systems.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, per-need environment.

Benefits and Pay - Temporary Pharmacist Position

  • Standard schedule: 40 hours per week, primarily 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (Monday–Friday) with weekend shifts from 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. as needed.
