Hanover Hill Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) to support the launch and development of pharmacy services at our newly opened behavioral health hospital. This leadership role will oversee pharmacy operations while helping establish policies, workflows, and medication management systems for a 144-bed inpatient behavioral health facility.
The Interim Director of Pharmacy will provide hands-on operational support while helping guide the development of the pharmacy program during the facility’s early operational phase. The role requires strong inpatient pharmacy experience, leadership skills, and the ability to assist with pharmacy infrastructure setup and operational planning.
• Serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy and potentially Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
• Assist with new pharmacy start-up activities, including operational setup and policy development
• Perform pharmacist duties including medication verification and clinical oversight
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with hospital leadership
• Stock and manage Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Oversee medication ordering and inventory management
• Support medication safety practices and regulatory compliance
• Assist with pharmacy workflow design and operational processes
• Provide weekend order verification remotely as scheduled
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
• Strong inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Behavioral health experience preferred
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations and leadership responsibilities
• Familiarity with EPIC order entry systems preferred (training provided onsite)
• Experience with Omnicell automation preferred (training available)
• Ability to assist with pharmacy start-up development and policy creation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Competitive contract compensation (bill rate and call rates to be submitted with candidate application)

Coverage Dates:
• Start ASAP (current DOP departs March 13, 2026)
• Coverage required until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired
Schedule:
• Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (onsite)
• On-call coverage required
• Weekend coverage: Remote order verification at 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. (approximately 1 hour each time)
