The Role — Your Job Is to Create Sales Opportunities

We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Representative (or Inside Sales Representative) who thrives on outbound prospecting and booking meetings. Your primary responsibility is to manage the first phases of our consultative sales process, where the ultimate goal is to see prospects become customers. You will develop a relationship with your prospects and assist our Sales Executives as they begin to manage the relationship after meetings with prospects are scheduled.

You will spend your day calling, emailing, and connecting with hiring leaders through the channels of connection you develop to introduce InnoSource solutions and secure meetings. You will work with our marketing team to develop sales materials to assist your sales process.

If you enjoy competition, daily metrics, and the satisfaction of converting a cold call into a booked meeting, you will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities - Business Development Representative

What You Will Do

  • Make high-volume outbound calls daily to targeted prospects
  • Develop multiple sources for outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Identify hiring decision makers and qualify potential opportunities
  • Book qualified appointments for senior sales leaders
  • Build and maintain a consistent top-of-funnel pipeline
  • Track activity and outcomes in CRM systems
  • Hit and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets
  • Continuously improve messaging and outreach strategy
  • Develop sales materials to assist your sales process

Performance Expectations

Maintain a high volume of daily prospect outreach and conversations that lead to qualified meetings scheduled with our Sales Executives each month. Top performers will be able to significantly increase their earnings through this activity.

Education and Experience - Business Development Representative

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, SDR, or BDR roles
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed outreach and appointment metrics
  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, or B2B services is a plus
  • Experience selling into industries such as utilities, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, banking, call centers, or technology is helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
