FirstEnergy is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mail Room Clerk III to join our team in Akron, OH at a pay rate of $16.00/hour. This onsite role supports essential mail services and administrative operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities - Mailroom Clerk

  • Sort and distribute incoming interoffice and U.S. mail
  • Accept, log, and deliver incoming packages (UPS, FedEx, Office Depot)
  • Apply postage to outgoing mail and process UPS shipments
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties (data entry, filing, invoice processing)
  • Provide department support (calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements)
  • Produce correspondence, reports, and presentations using office software
  • Maintain excellent internal and external customer service
  • Follow safety procedures and handle confidential information
  • Assist in team tasks and support workflow improvements

Required Skills and Knowledge- Mailroom Clerk

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong computer and typing skills

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Team player with a customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to safely lift/move items up to 75 lbs.

Education and Experience - Mailroom Clerk

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 4–7 years of relevant work experience in mail services, administrative support, or a related field
