Position Overview

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital, a new 100-bed inpatient behavioral health facility, is seeking a temporary (locum) pharmacist to support our pharmacy launch and provide interim coverage until a permanent Director of Pharmacy (DOP) is hired. This is a new-start site with a go-live date of June 11th, and the temporary pharmacist will play a key role in standing up pharmacy operations. No sterile compounding is involved.

Key Responsibilities - Temporary Pharmacist

Job Responsibilities

• Stocking the Omnicell automated dispensing system
• Reviewing and approving medication orders
• Assisting with the setup and stand-up of the new pharmacy

Education and Experience - Temporary Pharmacist

Licensure & Qualifications

• Active Illinois pharmacist license required
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• HCS order entry system experience preferred
• Omnicell automation experience preferred

Benefits and Pay - Temporary Pharmacist

Hours

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, plus on-call after each shift
• Weekends: on-call only

Coverage Dates & Schedule

• Training: June 22nd (HCS & Omnicell training provided on-site)
• Primary coverage: June 23rd – July 5th
• On-call coverage: Beginning July 18th, on-call needed every other weekend until a permanent DOP is hired
