About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports University Recruiting and plays a central role in keeping recruiting operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines without losing a beat. Success in this role calls for both independent initiative and a collaborative, team-first mindset.

This is a hybrid position based out of Nationwide's Downtown Columbus Plaza One location, with two in-office days each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We're looking for someone who stays professional, adaptable, and composed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities - Recruiting Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization and provide a positive experience to every candidate throughout the hiring process.
  • Schedule interviews and ensure hiring teams have everything they need beforehand, including candidate resumes and interview schedules.
  • Manage candidate travel and expenses, submit travel reimbursements, and greet candidates upon arrival.
  • Register for recruiting events, prepare career fair materials, and ship materials to event locations.
  • Maintain job descriptions on external diversity and campus job boards.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process in Workday, including I-9s, background checks, and related steps.
  • Mentor other coordinators and team members on recruiting procedures, processes, and services as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members on research, process improvement, and other project work.
  • Administer confidential background checks and licensing.
  • Process, track, review, and approve invoices for the department.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills and Knowledge- Recruiting Coordinator

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills

  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Knowledge of the specialized needs of insurance and/or financial services operations, especially the different types of careers and roles within them (preferred).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Workday information systems; familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Fieldglass and Workday is a plus.
  • Proven communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the flexibility and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.

Education and Experience - Recruiting Coordinator

Qualifications

EducationUndergraduate degree in human resources or a related area preferred.

ExperienceTypically three or more years of recruiting, human resources, or office experience working with calendars and collaboration software while supporting multiple professionals.
