An InnoSource Accountant aids in growing our service-based business with financial accounting functions, including audit preparation, forecasting, tax planning, banking, and various projects.  This role reports to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities - Accountant

An Accountant assists in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, including the preparation of month-end accruals, bank reconciliations, other account reconciliations (prepaid, suspense, etc.), recording adjusting entries, and performing detailed analysis as needed.

• Prepares monthly financial statements. Applies generally accepted accounting principles in preparation of the balance sheet and income statement
• Coordinates weekly Accounts Payable process
  Assists Operational leadership by providing sophisticated financial analysis and general ledger (G/L) projects
• Responds to requests for information from management regarding financial results
• Gathers and analyzes financial data for the preparation of audit schedules. These schedules are then provided to external auditors for the annual financial statement audit
• Coordinates or prepares schedules and supporting documentation as requested by external auditors relating to the financial statements
• Oversees general ledger chart of accounts, establishes new accounts and cost centers
• Prepares and inputs journal entries into the general ledger system including payroll
• Participates in training of other team members and on the general ledger system and matters relating to accounting and financial reporting
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned to advance a particular project or resolve a business issue

Required Skills and Knowledge- Accountant

Education and Experience - Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or in Business Administration or related field
• 2 years of general accounting experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• CPA certification not required, but a plus
