Key Responsibilities - Interim Director of Pharmacy / Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

What You’ll Do

  • Manage pharmacist scheduling and ensure efficient workflows.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and maintain high standards.
  • Hold staff accountable and provide coaching to frontline teams.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with nursing partners.
  • Assist with drug diversion investigations and regulatory monitoring.

Key Details

  • Coverage Dates: ASAP until permanent hire (4–8+ weeks).
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • No weekends or on-call required.
  • Training: Shadow other leaders and complete site orientation.
  • Order Entry System: Epic (experience preferred).
  • Automation: Omnicell (training provided).
  • Staff Size: 15 pharmacist FTEs, 16 technician FTEs.
  • Dress Code: Business casual.

Required Skills and Knowledge- Interim Director of Pharmacy / Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

What You Bring

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License (required; FL Consultant License preferred).
  • 5+ years inpatient pharmacy experience and 2+ years management experience.
  • Strong delegation, communication, and workflow optimization skills.
  • Ability to lead a large team and foster collaboration.
